New Style Fresh Start for Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is coming really soon can you believe that? It feels like 2019 just started yesterday where everyone you met say “Happy New Year!” with a bright smile but days gone so fast, don't you think?

Anyway, since I was a kid Chinese New Year is one of awaited moments throughout the year. Well not only because of the angpao (I have to admit that was one of the biggest reason tho, LOL), but also to gather around with my family and have quality time talking about everyone's life. That makes me happy.

To be honest, I didn't grow up in that all chinese traditions kind of family so there's no strict rule that we have to wear red on Chinese New Year or any other rules that I don't know exactly about all of it tho.

There are a lot of traditional history/myths about how people doing this and that for good fortunes but I think the most important thing is to be the better you for this upcoming year. For me, being a “new me” is simply to be a “better me”. Like this year, I want to learn to love myself more, to appreciate what I’ve done, to realize what things that makes me happy and more of that.

As a fashion blogger I recently realize that small thing as to look good or to look present everyday do really makes me happy. Like how I choose an outfit for that day, or what colour of lipstick should I wear, there are so much fun for me. That was the reason I emphasize this for this article, “New Style Fresh Start”.  I love to play with new style for myself, it's challenging and fun. You know that fashion moves really fast that's why I like it, so why don't you try new style for a fresh start this Chinese New Year? :)

I will share some of my Chinese New Year outfit inspirations with UNIQLO Indonesia that I think are fresh and stylish at the same time. Comfort is also the key in choosing my Chinese New Year outfits, since I’m gonna wear these outfits for hours during my gathering with my family.

PLAYING WITH PATTERN

In this first look I just want to keep it simple by just wearing this red shirt with polkadot details in it and pair it with this short smart pants in grey. Can you spotted the double pattern? You know how I love to play with pattern on pattern outfit right? :)

CASUAL CHIC

For the second look I want keep my personal style in it so I pair this blazer in navy and a line skirt in the same color. I love how chic this look and yet still comfortable for a more formal gathering like family dinner. To keep it casual I wear this low white sneakers as per usual.

SIMPLICITY AT ITS’ BEST

The third one is this super relax outfit that I chose. Grey cardigan over the white shirt and pair it with a high waist wide leg pants, can you tell how much I love neutral colors? To keep the Chinese New Year’s spirit I put my red lipstick on as the touch color to the outfit. These outfits are definitely the way to go if you’re planning to hangout with friends right after your family visitations.
